What is the solar energy ?

Like the light bulb in our room which lights up our room, our sun in the sky is lighting our world half a day directly and other half of the day indirectly as the moon. Have you ever thought what is
really going on there on sun? How it lighting the world? First let’s get an idea about what it is and how it works.
In the night sky, we can observe many stars glittering in the dark sky. Our sun is also a star. Most stars have the own planetary system called solar system due to the high gravitational attraction of them. The earth is a one planet of the solar system which belongs to our sun. Our sun is the nearest star to the earth.
In this star nuclear fusion reactions occur in billions. Combining two lighter nuclei into heavier nuclei is called Fusion. This reaction produces energy. In b

illions of reactions per second, produces very large energy violently. This cruel giant produces energy in very high amount. The following fusion reaction undergoes in the sun combining two
hydrogen nuclei, Helium nuclei and energy is produced.

Only possible method of propagation of energy through free space is electromagnetic wave form. Obeying to that natural limitation the energy produced by the sun is propagated through the free space in the form of electromagnetic wave. After a very long journey through the space part of the energy produced by the sun is arrives to the home. The earth.

These electromagnetic waves have all frequencies (wavelengths) and different forms of electromagnetic radiation are all characterized by their wavelength, and frequency, f(Visible light, infrared, Ultraviolet, X-rays, Radio Waves). But we can see only the radiation (waves) in visible light frequency range only. Some other rays in different frequency ranges we cannot see but we cannot feel its effects. The rest are can be observed through only special equipment’s. These all electromagnetic waves of all ranges are the energy we called SOLAR ENERGY which supply the power for all natural process in our world. Without solar energy any plant cannot survive. Without plants there won’t be a life on the earth.

The sun is a lifetime free energy source. If we can convert this traditional energy into other energy forms (Ex: electric energy , mechanical energy , heat energy and etc.) We will have a green free energy source for our life time.
In next articles you can know how to do this and many things about solar energy usage in the world. It will be our future.
